We are seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent for our projects located throughout the New York City Metro area. This role works closely with a Superintendent to provide leadership in all aspects of a project including subonctractor supervision, quality and safety standards, and adherence to project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations of construction projects
• Manage subcontractors effectively/efficiently
• Provide professional Interaction and updates to clients, architects, engineers
• Maintain daily interaction and communication with internal team members ,
• Verification of compliance with submittals
• Daily focus on job site safety
• Maintenance of daily log
• Maintain job site security/perimeter

Software Systems

Procore, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Zoom

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; junior college or construction education desired
• Must be able to efficiently multi-task
• Excellent time management
• The ability to work with tools to perform various phases of construction work is a plus
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Willingness to travel upon request
• 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Schimenti’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and specific performance awards.
