We hiring for an Accounting Associate. This position joins our Cedar Rapids team as a cross-functional professional performing administrative and accounting duties for all six of our locations. Successful associates are self-starters, capable of consistently processing a high-volume workload while paying close attention to detail. They are team-oriented and can quickly adjust to changing priorities. As an Accounting Associate, you will contribute to the accounting team in one or more team functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Invoicing. Duties may include responsibilities such as:

- Input data into inventory management system and excel spreadsheets

- Reconcile received documents against internal records to ensure accuracy

- Review reports and investigate missing or incomplete documentation

- Contact vendors and sales team members to notify and resolve discrepancies

- Perform filing and general administrative tasks

- Participate in the reception team schedule to answer and direct inbound calls

What you’ll need:

· AA or certificate in accounting related field or equivalent combination of experience/training

· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles

· Critical thinking skills

· Strong attention to detail to detect and ensure work is free from errors

· Ability to effectively communicate with sales associates, vendors and customers

· Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to changing priorities

· Proficiently navigate MS Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
