SCHERMER is seeking our next VP of Strategy! We need a seasoned professional with 15 years of experience in a marketing agency, with B2B experience an absolute must.
The VP of Strategy develops and drives the agency’s strategy practice. They develop strategic programs and thinking for our clients, create and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, and develop strategic solutions and plans that best fit the agency and clients’ needs. The VP of Strategy is responsible for creating brand identities through research and applying experience to uncover an in-depth knowledge of the organizational process, competitive threats and opportunities of a client’s business.
We’re looking for:

• A strategic thinker, collaborator, creative problem-solver. An articulate communicator who can synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
• Strong competency in qualitative research, with the ability to construct basic quantitative studies
• Expertise in B2B marketing and branding strategy (company, content, portfolio, product positioning & messaging)
• Proficiency in communications, campaign & content planning
• Understanding of digital marketing and demand gen strategy & technologies
• Ability to lead client meetings and workshops to support brand positioning, messaging and brand architecture development
• Proven track record in leading and overseeing a team of strategy, research, planning and analysis staff
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Experience in B2B marketing is absolutely necessary
