SCHENCK PROCESS LLC is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Kansas, MO

Basic Function: The project accountant position partners with the Project Management & operational teams for monitoring the progress of projects financially, investigating variances and explaining variances of the overall project as well as ensuring proper cash management of the projects.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
2. Create and approve all project-related billings for customers.
3. Work with the collections team to review aging project receivables
4. Assist with the monthly close process. To include: reporting on project profitability and margin to management; prepare the months financial analysis for finance.
5. Contributes to the preparation of annual and mid-year forecasts.
6. Complete project close-out: including final billing, AR collections, and accounting software close out procedures.
7. Participate in project reviews each month with the project managers.
8. Enhance and streamline project accounting processes
9. Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
10. Other duties as assigned as well as ad-hoc projects.

Desired Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel)
SAP preferred but not required.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Strong driven personality
Ability to work independently, with some oversight, and in a team environment.
