Scheck Hillel Community School is Hiring a Physical Education Teacher Near Miami, FL

Scheck Hillel Community School, located in sunny southeast Florida, seeks an enthusiastic and active individual to teach physical education in our Lower School, Kindergarten through 5th Grade, for the 2024/2025 school year.
Scheck Hillel is a nationally recognized college preparatory and Jewish community day school. Our well-rounded, rigorous, dual curriculum program serves nearly 1,300 students in PKT through 12th grade. As a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, we attract and retain a diverse faculty who demonstrate professional excellence with an unwavering commitment to delivering an education of unsurpassed quality. Our PE curriculum specifically aims to teach students to take ownership of their own physical health by creating healthy habits early in life. At Scheck Hillel, teachers not only educate students but assist students to become self-reliant and productive individuals who value independence and individuality; finding joy and self-worth through achievement.
Responsibilities include: Properly delivering our PE curriculum and methodology, regularly practicing exercises and games outside and in the gym, supervise the students to ensure the safety and well being during class, and implement effective classroom behavior management in accordance with Scheck Hillel's philosophy.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelors degree in a related field, experience teaching physical education to lower school aged students, knowledge of appropriate exercising techniques and the proper usage of fitness equipment, friendly and confident demeanor and ability to work patiently with students, and co-workers. Must also be knowledgeable in teaching Physical Education from a virtual setting. Familiarity with Florida Physical Education standards and educator certification a plus. Ability to coach after school sports preferred.
