Archdiocese of Miami is Hiring a Physical Education Teacher Near Miami, FL

St. Agatha Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher will serve as the Athletic Director, as well as plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students from K to 8th grade. The Physical Education teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • BS / BA Degree in Education.
  • Florida Department of Education teaching certificate in Physical Education, temporary or professional required.
  • Effective managerial skills to serve as Athletic Director and guide athletic coaches.
  • Effective collaboration with administration, teachers, parents, team coaches and students.
  • Experience as Athletic Director is preferred.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong instructional strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written English; effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
  • Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Professional demeanor.
