St Agatha Catholic School in Miami, FL has an opening for a qualified Physical Education teacher for the 2024/2025 school year. The teacher will serve as the Athletic Director, as well as plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students from K to 8th grade. The Physical Education teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications:

• BS / BA Degree in Education
• Florida Department of Education teaching certificate in Physical Education, temporary or professional required
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church
• Excellent classroom management
• Excellent instructional strategies
• Excellent oral and written English
• Effective communication skills
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Professional demeanor
• Effective managerial skills to serve as Athletic Director and guide athletic coaches
• Effective collaboration with administration, teachers, parents, team coaches and students
• Experience as Athletic Director is preferred
