FP&A Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Accounting and Finance
REPORTS TO: FP&A Manager
POSITION: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Starting at $26.50 / hour, DOE
The FP&A Analyst supports the overall business and departments including buying, inventory planning, and marketing etc. through strategic reporting execution and analysis. This person takes the lead in process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow for various teams within the organization. FP&A Analyst will work cross functionally with department leadership to define measurable key performance indicators and track progress to company goals. This role helps to identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlines business impact to stakeholders to aid in decision making. Advanced to expert level Excel user with the ability to build custom reporting as needed to analyze the business. This is a non-remote position and based in our Boise, ID HQ.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Create inventory and demand reporting with accompanying analysis to drive results and financial acumen for a fast-paced furniture retailer.
  • Work with cross functional partners in buying, planning and operations to determine total company, store level and eCommerce sales forecasts.
  • Continuously monitor actual performance compared to forecasts communicating out insights based on trends.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of company reporting including but not limited to sales, margin and inventory.
  • Responsible for maintaining company forecasting tool utilized to place purchase orders.
  • Provide reporting and analysis requires to make retail pricing adjustment decisions.
  • Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience, retail environment a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Power BI preferred.
    • Advanced to Expert Excel skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytic skills with technical aptitude.
  • Strong time management skills; detail oriented and able to multi-task effectively.
  • Able to work effectively as an individual contributor and a team member.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work.
  • Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
