What is a Sales Representative?

The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customers, and effectively selling Saxco’s value proposition. The individual will sell the Saxco product lines including glass bottles, closures, capsules, corrugated packaging, cans, complementary packaging components, and value-added services for the wine industry.

What is a Sales Representative responsible for?

  • Grow existing and new business year over year by prospecting new business, growing existing accounts, and closing sales.
  • Utilize Saxco’s internal support mechanisms for obtaining information, pricing, availability, lead times, etc.
  • Update CRM regularly with large opportunities so that the organization can help you to close new business.
  • Be a solution-based sales leader to address customer needs and follow up closely when opportunities for improvement arise.
  • Treat your territory and customers as if it is your own business. Grow your business. Find ways to turn “no” into a “yes”.
  • Manage demand, relationships, and expectations with existing customer
  • Attend tradeshows and other functions, as required.
  • Regional and territory travel frequently
Minimum requirements

Education and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of wine packaging industry experience.
  • Current experience selling wine bottles with a strong track record of success in acquiring new accounts and growing sales.
  • Four-year college degree (BS or BA) is preferred, not required.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
  • Must be computer literate with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM.
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable vehicle with the ability to travel up to 3000 miles monthly to visit customers and prospects.
