The Benefits Administrator handles day-to-day benefits administration for Savage Team Members and benefit plans according to the plan documents and governing regulations. You will work with other members of the Benefits Team to resolve Team Member issues, streamline processes, and ensure all monthly benefits bills and payroll deductions are paid and handled accurately according to eligibility and negotiated rates in a timely and efficient manner.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Deliver on the critical responsibility to pay and reconcile all monthly benefits bills, ensuring accurate payment according to eligibility and negotiated rates in a timely and efficient manner
  • Own funding of claims for self-funded health, dental, and vision plans
  • Fund retirement plans, weekly, bi-weekly, and semimonthly payrolls in a timely and accurate manner, meeting all regulatory requirements
  • Fund HSA payroll deductions on a weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly basis; act as a point of contact for escalation of complex Health Savings Account issues
  • Analyze assigned payrolls for proper benefit deductions
  • Partner with Benefits Manager to ensure HRIS systems integrity and reporting, aiding in aliment with benefit processes, eligibility, and ease of use
  • Work with the benefits manager in maintaining the enrollment portal; ensure that all calculations and HR notes are accurate and meet reporting requirements
  • Coordinate the gathering of documentation for auditors for the annual audits of retirement and health plans
  • Administers US health and welfare and retirement programs and plans
  • Assist with Team Members' communication including compliance notification, articles on the LINK, new hire outreach, and more
  • Assist Team Members with their benefit-related questions and fulfill benefit-related requests such as life events, open enrollment changes, plan eligibility, and more
What You Need to Be Successful:
  • Health and wellness plan administration experience
  • Working knowledge of ERISA and other legal requirements related to the administration of employee retirement plans
  • For safety reasons, must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate a Team Member’s needs
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong working knowledge of benefit and payroll-related systems
Preferred Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or related field
  • 2 - 4 Health Plan Administration or related field
Physical Requirements:
  • Travel will be required during annual benefits re-enrollment
  • The position is largely sedentary in an office setting
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Will be exposed to hazardous materials typical to an office setting
