The Field Service Manager (FSM) is expected to provide coaching and troubleshooting support for a team of 12-16 satellite installation technicians. The FSM is responsible for enhancing the quality of services that are being provided to DISH Network customers, in a safe and values driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and evaluate new technicians
Conduct performance review meetings, coach employees about work-related issues and job
performance deficiencies, monitor employees work levels and review work performance
Investigate and follow-up on customer damage claim incidents
Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority,
quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel
Manage routing and calendar systems to ensure sufficient workforce capacity to meet customer
needs while limiting excess costs
Conduct inbound and outbound telephone calls to ensure customer satisfaction and high quality
Provide technical troubleshooting to technicians and customers
Share relevant information to technicians and team-members as appropriate
Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety
training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety
Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings
Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational
procedures, or equipment use
Conduct technician team meetings
Complete van inspection, maintenance, and cleaning
Deliver equipment and tools to field technicians.
Establish satellite TV systems by installing equipment, running and pulling cable, programming
and calibrating equipment while adhering to codes, regulations and standards
Maintain a safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and climb ladders up to 40 feet in length
Must be able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Position Requirements/Preferred Skills:
3 years managing service/repair personnel
Strong communication skills including the desire to develop and lead teams
Hands-on field technical experience considered a plus
Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks/projects
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)
Demonstrate effective computer skills

Salary Range
Compensation: $50,000.00/Year - $55,000.00/Year
Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment screen, to include a drug test and an acceptable driving record
