Description
As a place that welcomes everyone, working at J Camp at the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) is an outstanding way to contribute, grow and earn money all summer long!
The Camp Music Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities for campers in a designated summer camp program area. Music is an integral part of the ruach (spirit) of camp. The Music Specialist plans and executes music activities in 45-minute increments for campers of varying ages, combining Jewish and Israeli songs, children’s songs, and American pop and folk classics. The Music Specialist also helps lead camp-wide song sessions at boker tov (morning circle) and at shabbat. This job requires some prep time leading up to camp and works closely with the Assistant Camp Director.
Schedule: 7-10 weeks during summer ( 1 week of training); Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
