The Early Childhood School at the Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) is looking for energetic, passionate, creative, curious educators to join our early childhood educational team. If you have a strong desire to love and nurture children, and to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, this may be the perfect position for you.

Responsibilities:

• Follow a flexible daily schedule, specific to each classroom
• Create a warm, welcoming, safe classroom environment for your children and families
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom where children can learn and grow
• Balance teacher daily responsibilities, such as preparing snack and lunch, leading morning meeting, cleaning tables and sweeping, setting up for rest time, etc.
• Setup aesthetically pleasing provocations and offer a variety of experiences based on the children's emerging interests and wonderings
• Collaborate with your co-teacher/s and other staff members regularly through meetings, planning times, etc.
• Support children's emotional and social growth
• Communicate with parents and guardians on a daily basis
• Share about classroom experiences through email and Procare app
• Track development of each child and conduct parent-teacher conferences once a year
• Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements - *To be successful as an Infant and Toddler Teacher, you should have:*

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A creative and strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

• Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including but not limited to, skills, relevant experience, and specific work location.
