As a quality assurance manager in the food service industry, your main responsibility is to ensure that the food products and services provided to customers meet or exceed industry standards for safety, quality, and consistency.
Some specific duties may include developing and implementing food safety and quality policies and procedures, conducting regular audits of production facilities, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations related to food safety and quality, and providing training and support to employees on best practices for food safety and quality.
Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing data related to food safety and quality, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing corrective actions to address any issues or concerns that arise. You may also be responsible for managing a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure that all team members are aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER:
• Developing and maintaining a quality assurance program for a restaurant or food service operation.
• Evaluating the quality of food served by the restaurant or food service operation.
• Evaluating the cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and work areas of a restaurant or food service operation.
• Deals with quality improvement by completing product, company, system, and organizational audits.
• Helping with the recruiting process.
• Establish and enact the Inspection Plan.
• Determining and ensuring that customer requirements are met.
• Keep a performance record of quality reports, statistical reviews, and other activities.
• Keeping an eye on the goal of increasing the company’s profitability
• Assisting with the development of policies and procedures to ensure that the food served is safe, of the correct quality, and meets all regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates training and therapy to provide employees with quality standards and assistance when they’re not meeting goals.
• Conducts hazard analyses and monitors quality measures to set the standard for quality assurance.
Qualification and Skills
