Job Summary:
Salas O'Brien's offices in Southern California are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual can be based in any one of our Southern California offices: Irvine, Corona, Los Angeles, or Vista. This position is mainly remote but there will be expectation to come into the office, go to clients, etc. as needed. Your role as the Marketing Coordinator will be to proactively develop new business opportunities, produce associated marketing materials, and support the branding of Salas O’Brien as a growing national firm. To thrive in that role, you will need to be an energetic professional who cares about the big picture while being passionate about meeting deadlines and following through.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and execute the production of print and electronic proposals and associated marketing materials, including writing content and developing graphics in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Manage the resume process including coordination with technical staff in order to procure content and ensure its quality, usefulness, and applicability
- Utilize brand guidelines to create advertising and tradeshow and conference materials
- Assist leadership in client research and new business development
- Be comfortable working in CRM and database environments in order to track prospects and sales pipeline
- Develop, coordinate, and execute events including client experiences, tradeshows, and conferences
- Work with National Marketing Team to identify and develop content to be shared internally and determine how it can be leveraged locally, firm wide and via social media or other communication tools
- Work with National Marketing Team to develop content about local office that can be shared firm wide via social media or other communication tools
- Attend external networking events as needed to grow brand awareness and gain market insight
You will be a great fit if:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related design field
- Must have 3-5 years in a professional services environment (architecture, engineering, or construction)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic with work hour flexibility in event of tight deadlines
- Energetic, organized professional with a knowledge of the marketing process in a professional services environment.
- Self-sufficiency on projects and being responsible for organization, communication, implementation, and completion. This can mean working individually or on a team, both in-person and virtually.
- CRM and database experience preferred
Skills/abilities:
- Must have superior Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite skills (particularly strong InDesign experience)
- Demonstrated writing, editing, proof-reading skills
- Strong graphic skills focused on delivering specific messages with clarity and consistency
- Excellent time management
- Professional interpersonal skills are essential as there is significant interaction with all levels of staff as well as potential clients and colleagues at networking event
- Comfortable working independently and in teams at all personnel levels
Location: Irvine, Corona, Los Angeles, or Vista (though this role will mostly be remote)
