We are actively seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to collaborate with the Program Manager, the Government Program Manager, and Contractor/Government technical experts to support execution goals and objectives for a large contract in support of a Mission customer. Your talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to the production of valuable intelligence to facilitate positive mission outcomes. 

The DPM will directly contribute to program efforts in several areas to include the coordination and administration of all aspects of an ongoing program--planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities. The DPM shall utilize expert verbal and written communication skills to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review project and process related documents. 

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Support the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
• In conjunction with the PM, develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization, implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program, and a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
• Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the contract
• In consultation with the PM, manage the staffing team, working closely with SAIC recruiting and staffing to identify, interview, and select well-qualified candidates for the programs bench
• Review all staffing submissions for best athlete determination
• Responsible for managing the clearance sponsorship program
• Implement the human resources policies, procedures and practices of the organization
• Aid in the supervision of program staff by providing direction, input and feedback
• Communicate with the program customer, end-customers and other stakeholders to gain support for the program and to solicit performance feedback
• Liaise with employees to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
• Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
• Write reports on the program for management
• Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and report evaluation findings to the PM and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate
• In conjunction with PM, develop, write, and submit RFP responses and proposals

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph
• Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of experience supporting the Intelligence Community
• Minimum of 3 years of program operations, program management experience or DPM support as well as staffing/resource leadership experience
• Demonstrated strong oral communication skills and very strong writing skills
• Advanced knowledge and experience utilizing the MS Office Suite (emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience briefing senior leadership--both customer and corporate
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
• Position will require split time between Herndon, VA and Chantilly, VA
