Sage Millimeter, Inc. is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Eravant is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to enter purchase orders, create, modify, and close work orders for manufacture team, answer customer inquiries, save and/or maintain documentation. General tasks are listed below:

  • Open Gmail and Google Hangouts for manager communication regarding any additional instructions for your daily schedule.
  • Check Zendesk (Ticket System) for open tickets in your view, and prioritize operational requests, request for quotes, and purchase orders. 
  • Continue working your way to closing out customer tickets in Zendesk.
  • Answer phone calls from customers thought out the day for operational requests, for example taking a sales order and/or proving updated on orders. 
  • Creating sales orders by entering purchase orders into NetSuite and navigate sales orders to escalate potential order issues and be aware of any upcoming export form requests.
  • Respond to basic operational customer requests such as tracking request.
  • Create work orders for line items on each sale order ensuring proper stock is aligned with current inventory.
  • Determining lead times on Eravant products and creating quotes for customers.
  • Create, edit, or close any work orders as needed per instructed. 

First week will be a balance in training on Zendesk and NetSuite. You will learn how to simple sales orders. Learning how to read purchase orders, understanding our model numbers, and reviewing the manufacturing process here at Eravant. It will also include reviewing all assigned tasks that can be given to you. 

The following weeks will be increasing your knowledge and speed in order entry and work order creation. Taking on new tasks to help contracts team. Escalate issues with as much detail and information necessary. 

If you master your role, you will be able to continue to enter sales orders and create work orders without interruption or much needed escalation. Follow proper export compliance when entering sales orders. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Political Science, International Relations, and Operations is preferred. 
  •  Work experience in ERP Systems or Business Software is desired.
  • Comfortable following documentation and guidelines.
  • Able to work through a set daily schedule and be able to meet expectations of your inquires.
  • Able to keep strict documentation and make sure your folders contain all details required for each sales and/or work order.
  • Must have good computer skills including Google Suite.
  • Take thorough notes and can create checklist and process steps.
  • Able to write and speak in a professional manner.

Logistics:

Inside Sales Representative reports to the Contract Supervisor. Expected start of employment is immediately, but we are happy to agree on a later start date is needed. This is a full-time employment, Mondays - Fridays, 9am to 6pm. Half hour lunches are approved for an 9am-5:30pm schedule.

This position will report onsite at our 60,000 sq foot facility at 501 Amapola Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501.

Eravant follows an Illness Prevention Policy to keep its team members safe from COVID-19. While onsite, we:

  • Commit to regular cleaning and disinfecting of the workplace
  • Provide sanitizers and disposable masks to all team members
  • Follow masking and distancing guidelines as provided by the City of Los Angeles and State of California.
