This opportunity is in the Account Services Department.

Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the processes between Claims, Underwriting, and our brokers. Ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Maintaining a strong network of team leaders, our department's relationship allows for cross-training opportunities and plenty of collaboration.

Role Description:

In the role of Premium Audit Manager (internally known as "Manager, Premium Audit"), you will manage the day-to-day operations of a processing team to meet the established standards for timely physical and voluntary audits. You will manage external audit vendors, develop your processing team, and act as a point person for internal units as well as brokers and/or insureds. As a manager in the Account Services Department, you will collaborate with others to proactively resolve issues for the department and team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as Premium Audit Manager will include:

  • Developing and training staff on technical skills, processes, manual rules, and workflows.
  • Developing and regularly updating out of date processes and work to increase premium audit effectiveness.
  • Contributing to overall organizational results through special assignments: e.g. participate in quality-peer review teams, prepare/conduct training sessions on special topics, etc.
  • Being the liaison for business process development. Responsible for requirements gathering, feedback solicitation, facilitate by written and verbal means to clarify, expand upon, and reject development ideas, and functionality testing.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Tact and diplomacy in developing / maintaining cooperative relationships with vendors, internal, and external customers through proactive and effective communication.
  • Able to participate in and promote a team environment within the Unit, Department, and Company.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, result-oriented and open to change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years of premium audit or insurance experience - Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Commercial Auto.
  • Five years large risk field audit experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • CPCU, APA, AINS, or other insurance designations a plus.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, training, or workflow management experience.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
