SUMMARY
Providing and coordinating case management services, therapeutic services, crisis management and transitional services to clients in shelter. The clinical case manager will respond to all shelter intakes and assess for appropriateness in shelter and provide referral admissions for assigned programs. The clinical case manager will provide admission assessments, develop service plans, assist in setting goals and coordinating resources to stabilize crisis and provide individual safety planning. This job requires sensitivity to trauma, as well as service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing and coordinating case management services, therapeutic services, crisis management and transitional services to clients in shelter.
Responds to all shelter intakes and assess for appropriateness in shelter.
The clinical case manager will provide admission assessments, develop service plans, assist in setting goals and coordinating resources to stabilize crisis and provide individual safety planning.
Provides intensive case management, advocacy and offering referrals for other needs.
Networks with other service providers and justice officials to facilitate client services and assist with a coordinated community response.
Accompanies clients to meetings with law enforcement agencies, lawyers' offices, medical providers or other social service programs as needed. Accompanies clients or arranges for accompaniment to court hearings.
Provides current information on community resources to other staff.
Assists supervisor in training staff and volunteer as needed.
Maintains shelter resource boards with current information on employment, housing, legal options, and other services.
Documents case management activity and other client contacts in client files in a timely manner.
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of working clients.
Conduct client education groups weekly regarding DV, safety planning, life skills and coping.
OTHER DUTIES
In accordance with the team philosophy of the agency, may routinely be required to carry out or assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed above.
Must act in accordance with the agency's mission statement and goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises tasks of student interns and/or volunteers upon request.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or Master’s degree (M.S.) in Social Work or related field, LMSW preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in a social service field required. Knowledge of family violence, crisis intervention, case management, social work theory and ethics. Experience in and knowledge of family violence theory preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
LMSW preferred. Current Texas Driver's License required. Proof of auto liability insurance required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English language skills required with the ability to read, and interpret documents such as operating manuals and professional journals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and appropriate case notes. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

SafeHavens mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change. SafeHaven is the largest and most comprehensive agency in Tarrant County providing services at no cost to domestic violence victims. SafeHaven provides 24-hour care at two emergency shelters in Arlington and Fort Worth to families fleeing violent situations. The holistic shelters provide a comprehensive continuum of care for the women and children who would otherwise be forced to remain in dangerous situations. Trained bilingual advocates respond 24 hours a day to victims who call SafeHavens t...oll-free crisis hotline. There is free access to counseling in both English and Spanish for those who are currently experiencing domestic violence. When leaving a shelter, SafeHaven provides survivors with a safety net of services and support to establish and sustain self-sufficiency. Through housing programs, families can move to a secure environment while simultaneously obtaining life skills, education, and improved employment opportunities. SafeHavens prevention team also provides domestic violence prevention programs to students throughout Tarrant County. Through our crisis and support services we are making progress to reduce and end domestic violence.
