Position: LEGAL ASSISTANT/CASE MANAGER
Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00/hour
Hours: Full-time position. 32 hours per week. Must be available to work during regular business hours Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.
Job Requirements:
All candidates are required to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
A Minimum of 2 - 3 years of customer service experience; and Excellent customer service skills
Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills
Ability to pick up systems and routines quickly; and make timely/accurate decisions in high-stakes situations
Ability to be open and implement constructive feedback
Positive /Welcoming Attitude
Preferred Skills: Bilingual candidate who speaks efficient Spanish and English and/or Candidate with Experience in Personal Injury Case Management or as an Insurance Adjuster
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle new client intake
Manage client case file
Provide effective communication with all clients.
Daily client interaction providing status updates, collecting information, educating, and servicing the needs of the clients.
Serve as liaison between clients and their medical providers.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers in order to secure case evidence.
Set up claims with insurance companies.
Send out LOPs and LORs.
Set up applicable liens related to the case.
Lien negotiations and reductions.
Negotiate settlements for Personal Injury Cases with Insurance Adjusters.
Draft Demand letters.
Document all actions and communications in the client’s case file.
Request medical and billing records.
Review medical and billing records.
Prepare a summary of medical records.
Request police reports related to auto accidents.
Request records from governmental entities under the Texas Public Information Act.
Review police reports, body cam footage, 911 calls, and property damage photos.
Timely resolve all case matters assigned to you.
Participate in business development, networking opportunities, and marketing activities as needed by the firm.
