Associate Engineering Technician Description

As a pivotal member of our project teams, the Associate Engineering Technician plays an essential role in supporting multiple client evaluations and proposals throughout the year. This dynamic position involves engaging in various stages of projects, including maintaining and creating databases linked with economic and engineering software, as well as developing data visualizations and executing preliminary economic analyses. These tasks not only streamline the review process but also enhance the efficiency of the work performed by engineers and economists, ultimately contributing to the successful completion of projects. In preparing both proposals and final deliverables, the role supports engineers by satisfying all report, visualization, and data requirements. With growing experience, there is a critical need to integrate advanced data analytic tools, enabling quicker and more informed decision-making. Associate Engineering Technician will work in our downtown Houston office and may qualify to work two (2) days a week remotely.

Position Responsibilities Summary

• Collaborate with Engineering Team and develop a foundational knowledge of the assets and operations to effectively address business needs
• Primary administrator for decline analysis software in support of forecasts/economics. Commonly used software includes ARIES, PHDWin, Combocurve and ValNav
• Leverage technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills to help solve a variety of challenges
• Facilitate implementation of smarter business module processes and data analytics for meaningful insights
• Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize data flow using macros, scripts or other novel tools
• Build and maintain quality control routines to improve data visibility and integrity
• Collaborate report deliverables
