Lazard is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Power, Energy and Infrastructure team in Houston, Texas. This position will require independent workflows with investment bankers, technical personnel and clients to execute on M&A, A&D and other strategic advisory initiatives. The position offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the success of a premier independent advisory firm and provide expertise to oil and gas clients across the globe.

We’ll trust you to:

• Work closely with engineering, corporate finance and third-party consultants to prepare technical marketing materials and support day-to-day execution of live deals.
• Build, maintain and troubleshoot reserves databases for multiple concurrent client engagements.
• Collect and organize technical and economic data for models from public/private sources.
• Support engineering team with industry research, basin studies and benchmarking analyses.
• Provide advanced data and geospatial analysis support for GIS technicians and consultants.

You’ll need to have:

• 5 years experience (banking / A&D experience preferred)
• Strong quantitative background and analytical skills
• Superior work ethic and commitment to maintaining high-quality work product
• Exceptional Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Expert with reserves database software (ARIES, ComboCurve, PHDWin)
• Proficient with Enverus, Wood Mackenzie, Petra, ArcGIS, Spotfire, Tableau
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
