Job Overview:

The Recreation Assistant assists in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activites in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equiv.
• Medical Terminology knowledge

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem
• Day Shift
• Scheduling will vary based on the needs of the unit

Essential Functions:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activity programs
• Ensure all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the patient's response to service
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments within the facility to ensure that daily activities can be performed without interruptions
