Role Responsibilities
● Serve as front-line resource for responding to and solving employee concerns and providing regular coaching
o Advises/Coaches leaders and employees to resolve personnel-related matters to improve work relationships and build morale
o Investigate internal complaints and facilitate healthy conflict resolution
● Continuous collaboration to develop high-performing teams: Provides guidance and input on workforce planning, performance management, and succession planning (development, training, and coaching) in order to ensure a preeminent customer experience
● Collaborates with HR Talent Acquisition Team, Hiring Managers, and E H Talent Acquisition team to fill open positions with qualified applicants
● Partner with key stakeholders to foster a challenging and supportive environment that maximizes employee engagement (improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention)
● Oversee and ensure the success of new hire orientation and onboarding programs
● Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
● Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
● Actively works on improvement projects to support business functions
● Continuous learning and knowledge of human capital trends are leveraged to provide timely and proactive recommendations to the executive leadership team
Job Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or another related field. Or a combination of education and HR experience that demonstrates higher level decision making based on judgment, education, and minimum 3 years of experience. Master’s degree or industry certifications (e.g. PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP) a plus
● Ability to think strategically, take action to execute strategic and operational plans, and collaborate with others to maximize talent. Organizational awareness of stakeholders and ability to maintain positive working partnerships with all
● Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS Applications
● Proven ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization
● High degree of Emotional Intelligence, able to relate well to others
● Ability to effectively respond to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints, handle sensitive information, and maintain absolute confidentiality
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
● Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
● Presentation skills for various audiences (e.g. business partners, community partners, customers, leadership)
● Minimal travel may be required on occasion
