Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal and state government agencies
• Attend multiple industry networking events weekly while persistently following up with leads
• Build and foster trusted relationships with key decision makers and position the company to win work
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities
• Work directly with the COO & CEO to build compelling solutions and services for federal agencies
• Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization by conducting research and utilizing your network
• Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet those needs
• Feel comfortable making cold calls, having video conferences and in-person meetings

Requirements

• Must be willing to attend multiple networking events in the DMV area on a weekly basis
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Experience in the federal or state government industry is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Communicates well verbally and written with senior managers
• Have an entrepreneur mindset with the ability to think big picture in your everyday tasks
• Experience networking in a professional setting
• Must be extremely organized with the desire to follow up with leads
• Experience in staffing sales or working as a recruiter is a plus
• Ability to do industry research and apply that research to building relationships
• This is a hybrid role of remote and on-site
