Rubenstein Public Relations is seeking a Vice President, Media Specialist who will work directly with our account teams. This Director will be responsible for media relations work for a diverse portfolio of accounts and will be responsible for developing strategic media plans and executing coverage.*This is an in-office role Monday through Thursday at our Midtown Manhattan office. Fridays are remote.
Responsibilities:
• Provide media relations counsel to account team members• Strategize and execute media relations portion of programs with limited supervision• Be creative and strategic in the development of programs designed to garner media attention• Continue to build relationships with journalists and press contacts on behalf of the agency, not necessarily tied to specific campaigns• Desire to deliver results in both traditional and non-traditional media• Liaising with account teams and clients to provide project updates in a timely mannerRequired Qualifications:
• Proven ability to secure high-profile coverage with long lead publications as well as broadcast media• 6 years' experience at a NY PR agency• Must have strong media relationships within the business/corporate, consumer and financial services industry• Possess superior verbal and written communications skills• Demonstrate a proven track record of earned media results• Creatively approach pitch/story development• Show a strong working knowledge of established and emerging web tools/platforms, including Cision• Remain current with timely news cycles and trendsRPR offers a competitive compensation and benefits package with an exciting and engaging work environment.
