GIS Environmental Department Manager- Northeast and MidwestPOWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a GIS Environmental Department Manager under the Environmental Business Unit.
The Department Manager is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of Environmental GIS services in the region, including developing and expanding market segments through services, client management and business development, profit / loss management, personnel resource management, and technical oversight.
The position may be based out of our Northeast and Midwest offices ideally in Ohio, Virginia, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, or Missouri.
This position requires the ability to travel regionally to our offices.Job Summary of Roles and ResponsibilitiesTheGIS Department Manager will lead the Northeast and Midwest Mapping & Analysis Department.
Responsibilities include managing resources, ensuring timely project execution within budget, and overseeing department operations.
Ideal candidates will have experience in GIS services for infrastructure projects, including proposal development and team leadership.
Opportunity to contribute to environmental projects in areas such as transmission lines, renewable energy, and permitting services.
Essential Role and Responsibilities
Be familiar with Company risk policies
Ensure proper quality assurance and quality controls (QA / QC) for all services performed by the Northeast and Midwest Mapping & Analysis Department.
Promote and monitor quality standards and practices
