We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Field Crop Specialist to join our team at Eildon Tweed Farm , a leading dairy farm specializing in high-quality dairy products.
As a Field Crop Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful cultivation and management of crops essential to our dairy operations.
Alorn with maintaining & harvesting our 3,000 acres of corn & Wheat
Responsibilities :
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of crop production, including planting, fertilizing, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.
- Monitor and maintain crop health by conducting regular inspections, identifying diseases or pests, and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement crop rotation plans to optimize soil health and minimize disease pressure.
- Utilize precision agriculture techniques and technology to maximize efficiency and yield.
