We're in search of a classically-trained Chef to grace our team with their expertise and creativity.

Position: Head Chef
Location: Sorority on campus at Indiana University
Hours: 40-45 hours per week (with some limitations, you may determine your schedule)
Compensation: Competitive, with up to 6 weeks of paid time off with commitment to complete the academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft exquisite menus inspired by classical culinary traditions
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to innovate and elevate our offerings
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Skillfully manage inventory and optimize food costs
  • Manage a small team of supporting culinary staff

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a chef, with a strong foundation in classical cooking techniques.
  • Possession of ServSafe manager's certification or state equivalent
  • Culinary degree is optional, though evidence of formal training or apprenticeships is valued
  • Deep knowledge of classical cuisine, ingredients, and flavor profiles
  • Ability to thrive without having a boss looking over your shoulder
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
