Ronpak is Hiring a Customer Service Representative Near Shreveport, LA

Ronpak is a nationally renowned manufacturer of carry out paper bags, portion control bags and food wraps with a huge range of choices. Founded in 1947, the company is a solid supplier with continuous, stable ownership. Ronpak has the most advanced production and distribution platforms in the custom printed packaging industry today.

Ronpak has an excellent opportunity for a Customer Service Representative at our Shreveport, LA plant. This is a full-time position 8 AM-5 PM M-F.

The Customer Service Representative reports to the Customer Service Manager and assumes a strategic role in the support and daily operation of the Customer Service function. Responsible for performing an active role within the team as well as assisting and supporting the business unit. This includes working with the Sales group in evaluating customer needs and ensuring that all needs are met according to customer standards. The Customer Service Representative will meet and surpass customer needs while making sound financial decisions for the overall benefit of the Company.

Essential Job Function:

  • Provides support for sales staff in each step of the customer relationship, from acquisition to evaluation and retention.
  • Manages the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Customer Services function.
  • Assists Finance in the establishment of credit with new and existing customers.
  • Ensures that customer inquiries, concerns or complaints are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engaged in troubleshooting problems associated with customer and sales issues while taking initiative in developing a workable solution to resolve ongoing challenges.
  • Assists in processing customer specifications including but not limited to artwork and materials required.
  • Leads a cross functional dialogue to facilitate timely manufacturing schedules that meet customer deadlines and expectations.
  • Works closely with operations to ensure the timely delivery of all products.
  • Assists in establishing and documenting Ronpak’s best customer services practices.
  • Creates a collaborative and positive atmosphere of productivity while emphasizing the urgency to meet customer needs.
  • Contributes to the development and evaluation of various cost savings programs.
  • Responsible for reporting issues related to Food Packaging safety or quality.
  • Performs other duties or assignments as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 Years’ transferable work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer experience with general accounting and/or ERP software programs.

  • Results oriented with a strong understanding of sales and earnings targets.
  • PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and with other computer software systems for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and other analysis that may be required by management.

  • Visual acuity with or without correction to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, read extensively, operate office machines, and to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
