Rocket Carwash is Hiring an Assistant Manager Near Des Moines, IA

- Consistently provide feedback and lead by example so each team member so can contribute at their highest potential
- Ensure the site and all team members are creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests by greeting, anticipating needs, exceeding expectations to provide exceptional service.
- Be the person who “rallies the team”, and reinvigorates team members to want to provide an industry-leading customer experience
- Manage all aspects of the operation including car wash equipment, chemical inventory, and physical appearance of the office, tunnel, vacuum area, pay stations, and parking lot
- Maintain a clean appearance as per the dress and grooming standards, and enforce these standards for the wash site
- Conduct required training on processes and operational procedures for all team members
- Oversee compliance of all safety regulations and policies
- Supervise completion of opening and closing procedures
- Oversee cash and security management
- Review processes and procedures for continuous improvement
- Handle all damage claims; properly investigate, document, and report accordingly
- May be asked to perform basic to intermediate level maintenance tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Has the ability to hold team members accountable
- Has a track record of successful outcomes and a willingness to take ownership
- Has experience with labor management and strategic staff scheduling
- Has demonstrated leadership and team building skills
- Has a strong understanding of membership-driven business
- Has a service- and goal-oriented outlook and personality
- Has a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and pride in their work
- Is available to work 40-50 hours per week, including weekends, and a varying schedule to meet the needs of a fast-paced business
- Has working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Has the ability to efficiently multitask in a quickly changing environment
- Has a passion for building relationships with customers and community
- Has a willingness to work hard towards a common team goal
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Work in and develop a team environment
- Ability to lead a team and deliver exceptional customer service
- Be punctual, responsible, and accountable
- Ability to work various hours, including weekends and holidays
- Maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Starting at $45,000 annually plus commissions, based on experience
- Eligible the 1st of the month following your start date:
