Summary/Objective 

The Scale Operatoris responsible for operating scales in the auto yard to weigh in drivers, provide customer service to the public, staff, and clients, run a cash register, and perform other clerical duties in the scale house.

• Answer/Transfer telephone calls or take messages

• Sort/Delivery incoming/outgoing mail

• Receive customers or visitors via walk in or scale

• Provide general information to staff, clients, or the public

• Copy, file, and update paper and electronic documents

• Collect information and perform data entryOperate the scale to weigh in/out commercial and public trafficRun the cash register to process cash paymentsTrack sales and purchases of metal through online data base
