Job Description

The Salvage Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the salvage yard, including managing the inventory of salvaged parts, supervising employees, and ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed. The Manager will also maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and market the salvage yard to increase business.

Hours: Monday-Saturday 8-5

Pay: Depending on Experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the salvage yard, including receiving, sorting, and organizing salvaged parts.
• Supervise and train employees to ensure that they are following safety procedures and performing their job duties efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and implement systems to track inventory levels.
• Purchase and price incoming inventory to ensure profitability and competitive pricing.
• Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase business, such as advertising and social media campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
