Description
Robert Half Marketing & Creative is working with a highly regarded Portland energy client that is looking for an experienced Technical Writer.
This Technical Writer will be responsible for updating and creating net new business process instructions (how-to instructions) for our client's centralized digital library that serves thousands of employees across the country. Business process instructions will support the areas of inventory, procurement, work orders and payment, repair, and warranty. The Technical Writer will be working on 8-10 process docs at any given time. Day-to-day responsibilities involve working directly with SMEs via virtual screenshare to work through business process instructions the SMEs have drafted and making sure they are:

• User-friendly
• Chronological
• Complete
• Accessible
• Making use of screen grabs, charts, or graphics where it makes sense

This role is 100% remote, 40 hours per week, for at least 1 year.

Requirements

• 5 years' business process documentation writing and editingor similar
• Understanding of enterprise software, ideally SAP or similar
• Ability to collaborate directly with SMEs
• Ability to work independently
