This is a full time, 100% Onsite, CONTRACT-to-HIRE opportunity that could lead to a permanent position and is located near Warminster, PA. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p.A well-established manufacturing company is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Controller w/ month-end functions (financial report preparation), reconciliations (balance sheet accounts), prepare/post journal entries, and general ledger/journal entry. The ideal candidate will be moldable, have experience with ERP systems & Excel (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables is a plus), and be technically sufficient. Specific experience with Cost Accounting and the ERP called JDE (JD Edwards) is a plus, but not required.Responsibilities:• Assists in the monthly financial closing program including journal entry preparation, various account reconciliations (including, but not limited to inventory, prepaid assets and accrued expenses), and variance analysis within prescribed timelines• Performs financial, general and cost accounting functions for the division in accordance with IFRS and Corporate policies• Assists the Controller in preparing the division’s monthly financial statements and reporting• Ensure transactional data and internal controls are in compliance with SOX regulations• Assists in maintaining the division’s system of accounts and ensures adequate support and documentation for all company transactions.• Assists in the review and analysis of standard costs including materials, labor and overhead rates and utilizes internal and external data to establish accurate costing• Assist in the review of the operating results in terms of profitability and performance against plan/prior year to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities.• Interacts and provides support to other functional areas of the business to help achieve departmental goals
