We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Sr. Tax Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in Los Angeles, California. This role involves working under general supervision to assist the tax team with the company’s annual provision, federal and state tax compliance, and other tax matters.Responsibilities:• Review state tax compliance and preparation of tax adjustments• Assist in the annual tax provision• Prepare and review federal, state income & franchise tax returns and related workpaper support• Prepare and review fixed asset reconciliations and review additions for accuracy• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and extension calculations• Assist in federal and state income tax controversy matters• Respond to notices from various state tax jurisdictions• Respond to tax questions from other departments and groups• Provide support for on-going projects• Perform tax research and analysis when required• Use ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Compliance, Annual Tax Provision, Tax Accounting, OneSource, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Table skills to perform duties effectively.
