JOB DESCRIPTION We have a great opportunity for a Tax Accountant!!! The Tax Accountant is an integral part of the tax compliance group primarily responsible for domestic tax compliance and accounting for the Sports and Entertainment operations of FOX Corporation. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns in accordance with relevant tax laws and regulations Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions, including monitoring payment due dates and coordinating payments for proper approvals Prepare interim and year-end tax provisions with a focus on current taxable income calculation and validation of deferred balances in accordance with ASC 740 Liaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business divisions Develop an understanding of the business operations for assigned business divisions Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups Some opportunities to supervise tax consultants tasked with the preparation of assigned entities' tax returns and other projects Assist with responses to tax notices, including corresponding with taxing authorities to resolve inquiries and disputes Assist with various tax projects related to income tax audits and planning WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor's degree 0-2 years of domestic income tax compliance experience Basic understanding of domestic corporate and partnership income tax principles Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Xlookup, logical formulas) Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment Ability to perform responsibilities independently, effectively, and efficiently when working remotely Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills Basic tax technical research skills NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER Major in accounting MBT and/or CPA (or eligible for the CPA exam) Public accounting experience in a nationally recognized firm Experience with Corptax, Alteryx, and Workday #LI-DNI We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $61,000.00-90,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
