We are looking for a methodical and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Scotts Valley, California. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including inputting accounts payable data, processing weekly check runs, and reconciling accounts payable/receivable records. Responsibilities:• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications• Maintain precise customer credit records• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments• Audit invoices against purchase orders, investigate discrepancies, and approve for payment• Address issues that vendors or purchasing agents may have with obtaining payment for bills• Compute and record charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, and similar items• Ensure accounts payable payments are up-to-date• Reconcile and report any discrepancies or problems to the supervisor• Contribute improvement suggestions during the audit process• Respond to all vendor calls and assist in invoice payments and resolving disputes if any• Keep track of expense accruals and record monthly journal entries• Assist with year-end tasks such as 1099s and audits by preparing various GL account analyses, pulling invoices, and investigating discrepancies• Assist with quarterly sales & use tax returns and month-end close, ensuring all accounts have been reviewed for accuracy• Manage credit card expenses and ensure timely booking into the appropriate GL account• Follow up with credit card users for timely submittal and approval of expensesPosted by Staffing Director: Scott Moore
