Description
Robert Half is hiring for a Senior Accessibility Specialist to join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing digital accessibility. This role involves collaborating with product teams to ensure digital platforms meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, crafting VPATs, and steering design and development towards full accessibility compliance.
Responsibilities:

• Develop VPATs/ACRs in alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and remediate digital assets.
• Collaborate with developers and UX professionals to test and refine digital designs for accessibility.
• Engage in continuous education of staff on creating accessible digital content.
• Lead usability testing with diverse groups, including those with disabilities, to improve user

Requirements
Requirements:

• Proven track record in creating VPATs for web applications.
• Advanced knowledge in HTML5, ARIA, and web/mobile accessibility testing.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools.
• Independent, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to mentor others.
• Relevant experience in user interface design assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications like IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist or US DHS 508 Trusted Tester.
• Educational background in UX, Digital Accessibility, Digital Design, or Software Engineering.

Candidate Profile:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple projects and collaborate effectively.
• Prior roles or strong understanding of "accessibility" will be a standout feature.

Performance Expectations:

• High-quality work and the ability to deliver precise website assessments.
• Timely completion of accessibility tests and VPATs/Audits.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work autonomously.
