Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a background in nonprofit or religious organizations, who is proficient in QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and reporting standards specific to the nonprofit sector. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional analytical abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial practices.Responsibilities:General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, and timely collections.Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions and monitor cash flow.Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management and board review.Posting Donations: Record and reconcile incoming donations, ensuring accurate posting to the appropriate accounts and donor records.Grant Management: Track and report on grant funding, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and timely submission of financial reports.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, nonprofit reporting requirements, and tax laws.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with finance team members and other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.
