We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's finance and accounting team. This role is vital in ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in veterinary pharmaceuticals or a related industry and possess expertise in standard costing, freight, purchasing invoicing, financial close support, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in Oracle R12 and advanced Excel skills are also essential for success in this position.Key Responsibilities:1. Standard Costing: Calculate and maintain standard costs for our product lines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.2. Freight and Logistics: Monitor and analyze freight costs, optimizing transportation and logistics expenses. Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes.3. Purchasing Invoicing: Oversee the processing and validation of purchase invoices, matching them to purchase orders and ensuring proper authorization.4. Financial Close Support: Play a critical role in the month-end and year-end financial close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the financial reporting team.5. Account Reconciliation: Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.6. Oracle R12: Utilize Oracle R12 extensively for financial transactions, reporting, and data analysis.7. Excel Expertise: Harness the power of Excel to create complex financial models, analyze data, and generate reports.8. Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and reporting, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and process improvement.9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.10. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.- 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, focusing on standard costing, freight, purchasing invoicing, and account reconciliation.- Proficiency in Oracle R12 is essential.- Strong expertise in Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and perform data analysis.- Experience in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry or a related field is preferred.- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage priorities and meet deadlines.- High integrity, ethics, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
