Description
Are you knowledgeable about software and applications programming and industry requirements? Can you formulate and define systems scope and objectives? If you answered yes, this Programmer Analyst position from Robert Half for a Real Estate & Property company would make a great match. You will use research and fact-finding to make suggestions about developing or altering applications or databases. This permanent Programmer Analyst opportunity is found in Orlando, Florida. Key responsibilities
- Helps develop communication content for particular system changes being implemented in production
- Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all met
- Assesses processing systems. Builds improvement recommendations
- Evaluates user requests for systems changes or improvements. Registers functional requirements and reviews cost, feasibility and utility. Recommends how, when and whether to make the changes
- Creates and updates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst
- Provides ongoing training and assistance for end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process
- Analyzes and documents issues. Works with other programmers to correct code problems
- Provides guidance for internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting problems with programming. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education

Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of programming languages
- Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
- General knowledge of mainframe hardware/software and PC operations required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Power Apps experience
- Microsoft SQL experience desired
- Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques
