Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Payroll Manager. This Payroll Manager will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department and will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. If you are a dynamic Payroll Manager with excellent communication, proven leadership, and are deadline driven, this may be the role for you.Your responsibilities in this role- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades- Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)- Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions- Manage the accuracy of records and prepare reports- Comply with relevant laws and internal policies- Handle payroll tax audits and collaborate with auditors- Oversee and train payroll assistants and clerks- Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams- Manage timekeeping and payroll systems
