The role focuses on the function of a Payroll Manager, providing technical and professional support for all payroll tax activities. Responsibilities:• Oversee all periodic, quarterly, and annual US payroll tax reconciliation and remittance in an outsourced tax provider environment.• Conduct audits and proactively determine the need for new payroll state taxes as work locations are created and take necessary steps to apply for appropriate withholding accounts.• Conduct quarterly reconciliation of employee withholding and unemployment states against home and work locations to ensure proper system taxation.• Conduct quarterly balance sheet and annual 941 reconciliations.• Ensure tax accounts and unemployment rates are set up and maintained with all third-party systems.• Research all tax notices and provide accurate and timely responses to the proper tax authorities.• Remain current on new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll taxes.• Answer all Payroll Tax inquiries via the Payroll Tax hotline and/or emails in a timely manner.• Initiate, manage and ensure execution of all year-end tasks including but not limited to W2 reporting and reconciliations.• Work alongside the payroll team to design, document and review payroll tax and balancing procedures and ensure these are current and revised accordingly.The skills required for this role include proficiency in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Data Processing, Accounting Functions, Benefit Functions, Compliance, ADP - Payroll, Payroll Taxes, Multi-state Payroll, Multi-state Tax, and Microsoft Excel.
