Robert Half is Hiring a Paralegal Near Indianapolis, IN

Robert Half Legal is partnering with an esteemed law firm in Indianapolis that is seeking a proficient Paralegal who has background in real estate/corporate matters. This role is fully onsite in Indianapolis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in a variety of real estate transactions including, but not limited to the reviewing/noting upon, drafting and/or preparing of documents for acquisitions, sales, leases, disputes of commercial, residential and farm ground.
  • Assist in a variety of business transactions including, but not limited to, establishing entities with the Secretary of State, filing entity reports, obtaining EINs, drafting/reviewing/noting upon corporate documents, reviewing contracts, assisting with business and contract disputes.
  • Generate pertinent legal documentation such as lease agreements, purchase contracts, real estate closing documents, and business documents with attorney instruction.
  • Regularly liaise and work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, title companies, co-counsel attorneys and opposing counsel to support a broad portfolio of ongoing cases.
  • Undertake research related to real estate, and business matters.
  • Review, analyze and summarize real estate and business legal documents for attorney review.
  • Assist with the closing of transactions, including organizing closing schedules and drafting necessary documents.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and other court filings, adhering to prescribed timelines and procedures.
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of meetings, hearings, and court appearances, and helping maintain responsible attorney’s calendar.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, organizing files, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical case files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with record-keeping protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in real estate/business law matters.
  • Bachelor's degree and paralegal certification preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of real estate and business law, transactional procedures, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in legal research methodologies and the use of online legal databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to attorneys and clients.
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
