ESSENTIAL DUTIESLead in the optimization of IT Infrastructure implementations, forecasting, and maintenanceProvide management with ways to improve administration, monitoring, reporting, and standard operating proceduresImplement and maintain network hardware based on the IT initiatives and required upgrade projects within the organizationInstall and test wired and wireless network infrastructureTroubleshoot network systems, including any reported routing or switching problems, and recommend improvementsImplement and maintain router/switch configurations and upgrades within the enterpriseProvide network-monitoring services utilizing various network management toolsAdhere to IT change control (enablement) processDevelop documentation and diagrams for all network projects that will be used for disaster recovery readiness on an ongoing basisUpdate current infrastructure equipment to current IOS levels and required Enterprise functionalitiesProvide support for overall network planning and related projects to include the utilization of technology for cost savings or enhanced productivityPerform router and switch upgrades within the enterpriseResponsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM databasesMaintain current level of technical knowledge/certification on enterprise routing and switching technologiesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS5 years of relevant experience working in a global Enterprise Network environment, including a multiprotocol network, problem resolutions, extensive knowledge of the OSI model, and familiarity with industry-standard hardware, network management services, including proactive monitoring and performance reportingBasic understanding of ITSM Principles or ITIL4 Foundations certificationMust have proficient knowledge of operating systems, network systems, and IT architectureExperience with various network monitoring tools and methodologiesA core understanding of networking technologies and solutions including, but not limited to: MPLS, virtual route forwarding, virtual device contexts, policy-based routing, ether-channel, QoS, traffic-shaping, load balancing, VPN tunnels, WAN Optimization, firewalls, subnetting, VLANs, STP, Spine and Leaf architecture, packet captures, etc.Working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical requirements, UPS, etc.Experience Active Directory Group Policy, Windows AdministrationIndustry certifications with Arista and VMware network virtualization are preferred.Experience with VMware, vSphere environmentsWAN/LAN concepts and technologies DNS, IPAM, NTP administration Knowledge of firewall concepts and technologies Excellent interpersonal communication skills
