In DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN, NYC (Hybrid Position): Our client - nationally acclaimed, historic civil rights organization focused on racial justice initiatives - is searching for a Grant Compliance Manager on a long-term, contract/consultancy basis. The ideal candidate for this role will bring a legal background (and so JD applicants welcome) and basic Project Manager related experience. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance mandates are met, pursuant to federal regulations and auditing several of the nonprofit's major affiliates for program and policy-related procedural adherence. STRICT ATTENTION TO DETAIL is a must for this position, as there are many codes and legal language to filter through, while also STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS are required to translate compliance mandates into layman terms to ensure major grant program requirements are met throughout the organization overall. Position is HYBRID (3 days in office). Training for individual with the right foundational skills (legal exposure, project management, etc) will be provided.
