Perks include including above market pay-rates, top-tier health benefits, plenty of work from home flexibility, and other unique perks that their top competitors can’t to provide.Position Summary: Oversees accounting practices of the organization, accounting, responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions, ensures timely financial, statistical and accounting reporting, establishes and maintains accounting practices in conjunction with the CFO to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations, responsible for successful year-end process, ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Responsible for direct supervision of accounting and financial functions, compliance with accounting principles and established company’s policies and proceduresResponsible for the month-end, quarterly and annual close of the accounts including preparation, review and recordation of journal entries to reflect monthly activity or necessary adjustments, preparation of supporting the month-end close reports and annual work-papers; distribution of the financial reports to the regional and executive teams; reviews, analyses and provides explanations to variances to the budget as requested Responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements and related notes, performs analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintainedCoordinates annual field work of the engaged auditing firms to assure timely complianceResponsible for providing all the documentation and back up to assist auditing firms to file Medicaid capital reportsResponsible for inter-company bank transactions, ST advances and repayments, and proper reflection of the above on balance sheets of the organizationsResponsible for management fees calculations and proper presentation on the books of operating entitiesResponsible for escrow statements reconciliations of all real estate entitiesAssists CFO in preparation of annual budgets for all organizationsReviews and closes bank reconciliations for all organizations, reconciles and processes bank related transactions for parent companiesCoordinates the work of accounts payable team, approves proper coding of all capital improvementsEstablishes new organizations and new general ledger accounts as they become necessaryAdministers accounting software and is responsible for user maintenanceReviews expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities such as marketing, acctg services, phone or copy machines to assure proper expense codingMaintains adequate and effective internal controlResponsible for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and rules
