The AP/AR Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, the expense report system, and employee credit cards. The role demands effective communication and strong problem-solving skills to lead a dynamic transaction processing team successfully.Job Responsibilities:Team Oversight:Review and approve the shared services team's work, including check runs, vendor invoices, and customer invoices.Prepare account reconciliations for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other aspects of the billing and revenue cycle as necessary.Process Enhancement:Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for key processes.Implement improvements within the department to optimize efficiency.Financial Management:Assist in forecasting cash flow for cash disbursements.Support the accurate and timely month and year-end close, including managing accruals and preparing aging reports for receivables and payables.Customer Interaction:Respond to inquiries from suppliers and customers, addressing special requests professionally.Process Evaluation:Evaluate company processes and procedures to identify opportunities for enhanced work processes.Financial Reporting:Assist with tax payments, including the processing and review of 1099s.Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring information is ready for audits.Additional Duties:Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Sr. Manager of Shared Services.
