Robert Half is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Retail field. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Retail industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Whippany, New Jersey area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Major responsibilities- Conduct full-cycle A/P- Provide customer service to internal business partners- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies- Assist with internal and external audits as needed- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
